General
What areas do you serve?
Downtown San Diego (92101) and the surrounding neighborhoods, including East Village, Little Italy, Barrio Logan, Golden Hill, and the Balboa Park area, plus greater San Diego County. See our full service area page for details.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We carry general liability insurance and operate in compliance with California roofing contractor requirements and the City of San Diego's local building and energy codes, including Title 24 cool-roof requirements where applicable.
Do you offer free inspections?
Every inspection is free, with no obligation to move forward. You'll get photos and a written summary of what we find either way.
How long does a roof replacement take?
Most single-family home replacements take one to three days depending on roof size, pitch, and material — tile roofs generally take longer than asphalt shingle or flat systems. Weather can shift the schedule, and we'll keep you updated if it does.
How do I get a roofing quote?
Call us or fill out the contact form and we'll schedule a free on-site inspection. You'll get a written, itemized quote based on your actual roof — not a phone estimate.
Pricing
How much does a roof repair cost?
It depends entirely on the scope — a single flashing repair or a few replaced tiles costs far less than deck repair after long-term water damage. We give you an exact written number after the free inspection, not a phone estimate.
How much does a full roof replacement cost in San Diego?
Cost depends on roof size, pitch, material choice, and how much deck repair is needed underneath the old roofing. Asphalt shingle replacement is generally the most cost-effective option; clay or concrete tile and standing-seam metal cost more upfront but last significantly longer and are common on San Diego's Spanish- and Mediterranean-style homes.
How much does a roof inspection cost?
Nothing — every inspection we perform is free, whether or not you move forward with repairs.
Do you require a deposit?
Standard practice for larger jobs is a modest deposit to schedule materials, with the balance due on completion. We'll spell out the exact payment schedule in your written estimate.
Storm Damage & Insurance
Will homeowners insurance cover my roof damage?
Most California homeowner policies cover sudden wind and storm damage, subject to your specific policy and deductible. We document damage thoroughly and can meet your adjuster on-site — see our insurance claims page for the full process.
Does San Diego get hail damage?
Rarely — unlike Texas or the Midwest, hail is not a significant factor for San Diego roofs. The real local risks are wind-driven debris and downed limbs during Santa Ana wind events, and water intrusion during winter atmospheric-river storms, especially on aging flat and low-slope roofs.
What should I do immediately after storm damage?
If there's active water intrusion, call us right away for emergency tarping. Avoid going on the roof yourself — storm-damaged roofs, especially tile and low-slope systems, can be unstable and slippery.
California Code & Fire Safety
What is Title 24 and does it affect my reroof?
Title 24 is California's building energy efficiency code, and it includes cool-roof reflectivity and emissivity requirements that apply to many residential and commercial reroofing projects in San Diego. We can tell you during your free inspection whether your project triggers Title 24 compliance and what materials meet it.
Do I need a fire-rated roof in San Diego?
Most jurisdictions in and around San Diego require at minimum a Class A fire-rated roof assembly on new construction and many reroofing projects, and homes in higher fire-risk zones may have additional requirements. We only install fire-rated materials that meet current code.
